According to CNBC, Jim Cramer said OpenAI's new Astra model is boosting Nvidia and Broadcom, with Nvidia's Blackwell chips used to train the model and Broadcom benefiting from OpenAI's custom silicon partnership. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said on X that Astra used 100,000 Blackwell graphics processing units in training and wrote, "400K GPUs coming online next." Broadcom shares rose 2.5% on Tuesday, and Cramer said he still favors Nvidia despite its stock falling 2% after opening higher. He also said Broadcom remains a key holding because of its role as a preferred partner for OpenAI and Anthropic, while Broadcom CEO Hock Tan said Anthropic is on track to be the company's largest custom customer in fiscal 2027 and remain so in fiscal 2028, with OpenAI projected to rise to No. 2 in fiscal 2028.
