Over thirty! After so many years of grinding it out in the crypto world, my assets have reached a level I never dared to imagine before. Now when I’m out and about and need a hotel, I don’t keep agonizing over dozens of dollars. Compared with my peers who are still toiling away in traditional industries, my life really is much easier!
I’ve known for a long time that relying on just a dead-end salary isn’t likely to create any major change in life, so I threw myself into the trading market. Along the way, I’ve stepped into plenty of traps and survived a few bull and bear cycles. What truly brought me to where I am today isn’t that the technology is magical—it’s that I slowly refined my trading habits: knowing when to hide, and when it’s actually worth taking the shot.
When prices surge too quickly, don’t chase in just because of FOMO—many rapid rallies come with huge volatility. After a sharp drop, when you see just a small rebound, don’t rush to bottom-fish—first, see whether the price and trading volume can truly stabilize. Big volume near the top doesn’t necessarily mean the top is immediately in, but if the price keeps weakening and price and volume start to diverge, you need to be on high alert. And don’t get overly excited by a sudden mega-volume candle at the bottom—what’s often worth observing more is steady increasing volume over several days and holding above key levels.
After all these years of trading, I feel more and more strongly that price is the result, while trading volume more directly reflects market sentiment. When everyone starts疯狂追涨 (chasing like crazy), risk is usually accumulating. And when the market is extremely panicked, that’s actually when you should calm down and look for whether there’s a real opportunity.
Many people lose money not because they can’t understand the chart at all, but because even though they know where the risks are, they still can’t control their own hands.
Nowadays I rely more on reviewing and on a set of trading rules I’ve repeatedly verified, rather than gambling on my instincts in the moment. The crypto market has never lacked for opportunities—what’s truly scarce is capital, patience, and the ability to act when the right chance finally arrives.
