【Trade Recap | Tell the Truth】

In the past two days, the paper signals showed a few places where I want to reflect seriously.

✅ What I got right:
On September 7, RSI6=25.43 was clearly in oversold territory. I opened a long at @78968. Target 1 (79485) was indeed reached, so my directional judgment was correct. After the market was deeply oversold, there was a technical rebound—this signal reading was also spot on.

❌ What I got wrong:
The short on September 6 was really messy. The risk-control system had to run it through 3 times before it passed; the signal itself was already not clean. The RR was only 1.23—barely passing. At the time, I saw the MACD turning bearish and wanted to short, but I ignored one key point: ATR was only 235. The market was actually in low-volatility range-bound movement, so the profit space for a short would be extremely limited.

There’s another hard one: the long on September 7—when TP1 was hit, it reversed immediately. Looking back, I didn’t consider that the overall trend was still bearish (ma20/ma50 were both above the price). The rebound strength wasn’t enough. So I held a position aligned with the right direction, but still didn’t end up making money.

🔍 Root-cause analysis of the mistakes:
It’s not an emotion issue. It’s more a combination of “signal misreading + timing problems”—forcing trend trades during choppy, low-volatility periods, and overestimating rebound potential within a downtrend. To put it plainly: I entered too quickly without waiting for the market to give a clearer structural signal.

📝 Improvements next time:
1. When ATR is below 300, reduce position size or just stand aside—don’t force directional trades.
2. Before going long on a rebound, confirm at least one 4-hour bullish candle closes above ma20, then enter.
3. If the risk control system needs to run it 3 times to pass, give up directly—the signal itself isn’t good enough.

$BTC is still hovering around 79,000. Next, we’ll see if it can hold the 78,500 support.

Have you had similar mistakes lately? Your direction was right but you still didn’t make money, or a signal you cobbled together that eventually turned into a loss?
