Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee will announce the creation of a high-level cross-sector committee to promote intellectual property trade in his Policy Address on September 16, according to ETNet.
The committee will bring together representatives from innovation and technology, cultural and creative industries, commerce, finance, law, valuation and intellectual property fields. The move is intended to support Hong Kong's role as a regional IP trading centre and to help build valuation, financing and trading mechanisms for IP monetisation.
