Bombardier issued a formal statement in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent harsh remarks about the company’s sales and factory plans in the United States. According to Sina Finance, Bombardier said it has long maintained a “Values Partnership” with U.S. companies and workers.

The company said it has deep industrial roots in the United States, directly employing more than 3,000 U.S. workers across nine core facilities nationwide. It also said its aircraft supply chain includes more than 2,800 U.S. suppliers, creating tens of thousands of indirect jobs.

Bombardier said it views the United States not only as its most important market, but also as an important contributor to U.S. aerospace manufacturing. It added that the cooperation between the two sides is mutually beneficial.

Trump previously warned on Truth Social that if Bombardier does not build factories in the United States, he would ban the company from selling aircraft in the U.S. market. He also accused the Canadian government of protectionist restrictions on U.S. companies, including Gulfstream Aerospace and major U.S. banks, and reiterated his “Buy American” and “America First” trade policies.
