I woke up this morning, checked my account, and to be honest, it was a bit painful. Yesterday, when XAUT was around $4,390, I manually added one grid order. The system then prompted me with a “wait/observe” signal. I swear I just felt like gold was about to break out. Now the price is $4,419—yes, it’s gone up—but the volume is only 14,726,068 USDT, which is clearly not enough.

BTC has been hovering around 79k all night: high 80246, low 78680. It’s just been choppy, making people lose patience. ETH is also stuck around 2.4k and won’t move. This kind of market is exactly when people are most likely to get trigger-happy. I’m a textbook example—when the system says not to move, I still had to move.

Now XAUT is back at 4,419, and my add-on order is in profit—but looking back, this was just luck. The system’s signal is still leaning toward “wait/observe.” It’s grinding back and forth in the $4,380 to $4,426 range. The volatility is too small, so the grid isn’t really able to capture much.

Honestly, my own trades have driven me mad. This morning I adjusted my strategy: widened the grid spacing and will only open a new position when the breakout signal comes. When BTC is moving sideways, gold seems to be showing a bit of strength—but I’m not chasing.
