FLOCK This move really has something.
In the last 15 minutes, it jumped 5.6% straight away. Trading volume was 11 times the norm—this isn’t just a little push. More importantly, the contract open interest rose in sync by 6%, with the notional value pulling in up to 750,000 U. This looks like leveraged longs actively entering and ramping it up—not the kind of artificial spike from short covering.
The OI abnormal percentile has already surged to 97.8%. It’s ranked fifth in the whole pool by abnormality. That means there are almost no long positions in the market that are more “crowded” than this right now. On the buy side, the proportion of主动成交 (aggressive/initiated trades) is 6.9%; the buy/sell ratio is 1.15—buyers are still in advantage.
But I have to be honest: this is approaching its own historical extreme range, and a sharp reversal could happen at any time. When it’s going up, heavy positioning feels great; when it drops, it magnifies the pain just as much.
If you have positions, keep a close eye on OI changes. If you see price lag while OI continues to spike—watch out for whether someone is starting to unload. If you don’t have positions, chase-ups at this level—measure carefully whether your stop-loss capability is up to it.
#FLOCK needs watching, but even more so, show a bit more respect for position/risk management.
