🔥 $TSLAB suddenly plunges 6% — is Elon Musk’s “AI story” starting to fail?
Tesla fell nearly 6% on Friday, closing around $354.
The spark is very clear: the Cybercab launch event came in below market expectations.
Investors had been hoping for a more definitive production plan, pricing, and a timeline for commercialization, but what was delivered on-site wasn’t as “explosive” as expected.
What’s more troublesome is that the U.S. NHTSA then launched a review of the Cybercab.
Because the vehicle has no traditional steering wheel, brake pedal, accelerator pedal, or rearview mirror.
In other words, Tesla wants to open a second growth curve with Robotaxi, but regulators may put the brakes on first.
In the past, the market was willing to give TSLA an extremely high valuation—investors weren’t just buying an EV company anymore, they were buying AI, Robotaxi, and humanoid robots.
The issue is this: the bigger the story, the higher the bar for delivery.
If Robotaxi still can’t be commercialized at scale for a long time, will the market reconsider Tesla’s valuation?
So for this drop, I actually think it’s worth continuing to watch.
Do you think TSLA is just experiencing a normal pullback, or is the AI valuation beginning to pop?👇
