To be honest, I got educated by XAUT all day. This morning I saw it spike to $4,426, and my hands were itching—I almost chased in to go long. The system clearly gave the signal to stay on the sidelines, but I just wouldn’t believe it. Luckily, I held back in the end. And what happened? It slid down all the way to $4,380, down -0.9%. Now it’s at $4,385. If I had chased higher, I’d have a floating loss sitting there, and my mindset would have crashed.

BTC and ETH are also just ranging. ₿ BTC $79,424, Ξ ETH $2,490—both are consolidating sideways on the 4-hour timeframe with no direction. The market feels weak, and gold-backed tokens like XAUT are even harder to move independently. Right now my system still shows a “wait and watch” signal, so I can’t even be bothered to set grid orders. In a whole day I only picked up a few scraps from the volatility.

Seriously, I’ve taken losses from too many impulsive trades. I used to think that if I didn’t trade, I’d lose—but now I get it. In this kind of low-volume, choppy consolidation, controlling your hands is how you make money. XAUT volume is only 12 million U. That kind of volume can’t support a trending move—it can only wait.

Anyone else who’s been ground down by XAUT today with no patience left? Drop a comment and let’s talk about your positions.
