"Binance Ledger for August | Excluding Contract Income, How Much Did I Actually Make This Month?"
Recently, I’ve started seriously tracking how much I actually earn each month on Binance.
Excluding futures, and excluding unrealized gains from price increases, I only count some relatively easy-to-quantify income from Alpha + stablecoin wealth management.
Final net profit for August: 124.23U.
First, Alpha.
This month I claimed a total of 3:
AIA: 30U
DOS: 56U
TMX: 40U
Total Alpha gross income: 126U.
But I think just showing “how many U I received” is actually not very meaningful.
Because in order to maintain Alpha points, the trading volume I generate every day also causes wear and tear.
I recorded all the costs for each day in August, and the accumulated loss for the month was 49.4U.
So the amount I actually earned was:
126 - 49.4 = 76.6U.
Next, Binance Earn.
In August, I basically kept:
1500 USD1, APR 8.52%
5000 USDT, APR 8.66%
A total of 6500U was placed in wealth management.
Based on 31 days, the estimated return for August was:
47.63U in wealth management income.
So in the end:
Alpha: +76.60U
Wealth management: +47.63U
August total: +124.23U.
To be honest, 124U is nothing big at all in the crypto world.
But I’m increasingly feeling that what’s truly worth recording long term is not “how much one trade made,” but:
If I don’t rely on high leverage, don’t bet on a single coin skyrocketing, only participate in activities I understand, and let idle stablecoins earn interest, how much cash flow can that generate over a year?
So I’m planning to turn this into a long-term series.
From now on, every month I’ll share publicly:
how much I made, how much it cost, where I made mistakes, and what the actual net profit was.
Continue tracking in September.
