⚡ About 4,200 $BTC (≈$320 million) was just moved from Liquid Network back to Bitcoin mainnet along with a message claiming to be from a “white-hat hacker.”

The 6/9 peg-out transaction moved ~4,200 BTC (with BTC price near $80,000), including ~4,000 BTC leaving at once. The OP_RETURN invited administrators to make contact on-chain; Liquid Network and Blockstream have not commented.

Why does this matter?
Liquid uses a Strong Federation model with 11/15 multisig and PAK keys — the fact that such a large amount of BTC exited without being stopped raises the question: was the security bypassed, or was the transaction legitimate?

In simple terms:
It is still unclear whether this was a rescue of assets or a disguised attack, and all eyes are now on Blockstream.
