🇸🇻 El Salvador added 1,540 $BTC . IMF: the government did not pay for them

Facts:
• The country’s reserves grew from 6,224 to 7,764 BTC
• IMF confirms: since June 2025 — not a single coin bought with budget funds, all from private sponsors
• But the sponsors were never named: no names, no amounts in the public domain
• The “1 BTC a day” program is ongoing, but that’s only ~31 coins a month — a drop compared with +1,540 BTC
• Context: a loan program with the IMF for $1.4 billion with the condition not to buy BTC with the state budget

🧠 My thought: anonymous sponsors are handing coins to the government under IMF restrictions — the main mystery of the week. Someone quietly transferred more than $120 million and did not ask for publicity. Usually, such generosity has a price: citizenship, status, capital whitening, or arrangements with the authorities. The IMF is formally satisfied: the budget was untouched, the conditions were met. But an anonymous sponsor is worse than a purchase: a purchase can be verified, while a transfer can only be believed.

⚠️ For the market, this is more or less neutral: the coins are already in reserves and do not put pressure on the price. But for the reputation of “transparent reserves,” it remains an open question.

❓ Who do you think is silently transferring bitcoin to an entire country?👇
