📰 Harmony has put forward two proposals: to shut down the mainnet, which has been running since 2019, move ONE to Ethereum, and shift toward an AI video “remix economy.” The team says the reason is the threat posed by nation-state attackers and AI agents.

🔥 The plan is to take a snapshot at the last block of the mainnet, covering user wallets, staking delegations, validator rewards, tokens in smart contracts and exchanges, and then airdrop new ONE to the same addresses on Ethereum, with holders not needing to claim anything proactively. The total supply and issuance rate will remain unchanged.

⚠️ What really needs urgent attention is that multisig wallets, liquidity pools, and on-chain applications cannot be migrated. The team requires users to exit all smart contracts before September 10, 2026, and plans to make the token contract, snapshot calculations, and airdrop scripts public for audit.

💡 Validators may begin shutting down nodes starting at 22:00 Beijing time on September 10. The team also plans to establish a compensation pool of $1.372 million. Validators and delegators who meet the conditions of shutting down, signing the agreement, and retaining stake will receive compensation over four quarters.

👀 The new business aims to let users create derivative videos from prompts and materials, with AI agents expanding the story, while operators stake tokens to participate in generation, distribution, and review. To be honest, moving straight from shutting down the mainnet to AI video is quite a leap, and both proposals are currently non-binding, so further adjustments are still possible.

🤔 If your ONE is still in a liquidity pool or smart contract, will you withdraw before September 10, or wait until the proposal is further confirmed?
