BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes has added to his position again. On-chain analyst Ember monitored that half an hour ago, he bought 244,000 UNI through Flowdesk OTC, spending about $1.73 million at a unit price of about $7. This is already his second time building a UNI position; the last time in November last year, he only bought 28,000. The backdrop is that Uniswap is pushing the fee-burning mechanism toward v4, and the more tokens held, the more UNI gets permanently destroyed. Hayes just sold about $18 million worth of HYPE positions in June, and now he is betting back on DeFi.
