Trading is a solitary practice.
Sometimes, when someone in a group chat says a certain asset is surging, you or another group member might say, “I already have it.” Then someone else says, “Why didn’t you say so earlier? I would’ve bought some too.”
In reality, if you had told people when you were buying, they might not only have refused to buy, but secretly thought, “This guy is trying to use us as liquidity.” So real trading has always been a solo journey. No one can accompany you, no one can lead you, and no one can replace you.
Of course, it’s fine to share more in a group. You can share your views and your understanding, and you can also talk about your buys and sells. As long as you’re not trying to interfere with, influence, or replace others, that’s enough. On the other hand, if you think your group members will lead you to wealth, or that you can make a lot of money by relying on their ca, that kind of dependency mindset will only make you poorer and poorer.
Only independent people deserve wealth, and only independent people deserve friends. This should be an important lesson learned from these past couple of years of losing and winning.
