A review of the past two days’ trades — honestly, what was right and what was wrong 🔍

$BTC current price $79,848, ranging sideways.

【What was judged correctly】
✅ On September 3, when RSI6 surged to 93.6, I took a paper short position, anticipating a short-term overbought pullback. In hindsight, the price did fall from $80,780 back to $79,397, so the direction was correct.
✅ On September 5, when going long, MACD hist turned from negative to positive (+28), and the three moving averages flattened out. I entered only after the trend-change signal appeared, so the timing this time was relatively accurate.

【What was judged incorrectly】
❌ Buying the dip on September 4 was the biggest mistake. At the time, RSI6=32 looked oversold, so I went long. But MACD hist was still in the deeply negative -337 zone, and the price was also below all moving averages — this was emotion-driven, not real signal confirmation.

【Root cause analysis of the mistake】
Put simply: after seeing the price fall a lot, I started thinking it should be about time to rise, and used RSI oversold as an excuse for myself, while ignoring that MACD had no sign of a divergence reversal at all. This is a classic impulsive dip-buying move, not a systematic signal.

【How to change next time】
Set a hard rule: MACD hist must begin to narrow before entering; RSI oversold alone is not enough. Wait for confirmation, don’t rush to catch the bottom.

Have you made similar mistakes lately? Even when the signals were incomplete, did you still go in?
