$0.02.
That's what I made closing a 10x leveraged TSLA position today.
Two cents. On leverage. Sit with that for a second — because if you've ever opened a perp expecting a Lambo and closed it for less than the price of a stick of gum, this one's for you.
I'm still counting it as a win. Not because of the P&L — because I actually followed my own plan. Set an entry. Set a stop. Set a target. The trade didn't cooperate right away, and there were a dozen moments where the old me would've moved the stop, added size out of panic, or "just waited a little longer" once it hit target.
I didn't touch any of it. It closed exactly where I planned. At +$0.02.
The trades that blow up accounts are never the ones that lose small. They're the ones where the plan got abandoned mid-flight because "this time is different."
Three things I'm taking from a two-cent trade:
→ Leverage multiplies your position size and your emotions, at the same rate. Plan for both.
→ A trade you controlled beats a trade you got lucky on — even when the lucky one pays more.
→ "I followed my rules" is its own scoreboard, separate from P&L. It's the one that keeps you solvent long-term.
What's the smallest, most unglamorous win you've ever been weirdly proud of? Drop it below. 👇
