【If XRP drops to 1.2, will the bottom-fishers really win?】

I won’t answer that question first. Let’s start with a phenomenon.

Recently, XRPL data has been interesting: active accounts are way down from last year, but transaction volume has risen by nearly 80%, and the value locked on-chain has quietly approached $4 billion. What does that mean? Retail investors are leaving, and big players are coming in.

A lot of people panic when they see account numbers decline and think the chain is dead. I think that’s an old way of thinking.

From my experience, any asset goes through this at some stage—early on, retail investors hold things up, and once institutions come in, the game changes completely. A few percentage points fewer in account numbers don’t matter. What matters is who is in there and how large each transaction is.

Alright, back to where XRP might go in the next 7 days.

My view: ➡️ sideways, in the range of 1.36 to 1.46.

Three reasons.

First, the on-chain data I just mentioned. Big players are entering. This won’t surge right away in the short term, but at least there’s support underneath.

Second, sentiment is still in the greed zone, at 73. Not crazy, but not low either. At times like this, it either pushes up a bit or consolidates first. A breakout higher needs a new story and new money, and I don’t see that yet.

Third, trading volume is relatively low, which means everyone is waiting. Waiting for what? Waiting for direction to become clear.

So what would make me think I’m wrong?

Simple. If it suddenly breaks below 1.36 on heavy volume, then my sideways call is toast, which would mean it’s not consolidation—it’s genuine weakness.

Or the other way around: if some positive catalyst I didn’t see comes out and it breaks above 1.46, then that also means I got it wrong, and I’d have to admit it.

In practical terms: XRP doesn’t really have much to do with most people, but if you’re holding it, you need to think clearly—are you following the big players, or are you following sentiment? Big institutions don’t come in to do charity. They want liquidity, and they want the chips in your hands.

So don’t rush to buy the dip, and don’t rush to run either. See it clearly first.

Veterans, what do you think—are big players coming in for real, or is this just the same old playbook? Let’s come back next week and compare notes.
