Exciting news comes from the development of Indonesia’s trade balance. The latest report from the Central Statistics Agency shows that in July 2026, our trade balance returned to a surplus of US$120 million. This result marks a rebound after recording a deficit of US$450 million in June and US$1.6 billion in May.

This achievement was inseparable from total export value reaching US$26.22 billion, which means there was an annual increase of 6.05%. This growth was particularly dominated by the non-oil and gas sector, which rose 6.84% and contributed US$25.43 billion.

The recovery of the trade balance certainly brings fresh air, signaling an improvement in the domestic economy. On the other hand, this situation can also encourage positive sentiment across various financial markets, one of which is reflected in the rupiah exchange rate, which has recently continued to show stability.

Will this return to surplus trigger a new wave of optimism in Indonesia’s investment market, including the crypto sector? Please share your opinion in the comments section.
