Crypto | Morning Brief | September 6

BTC is stuck around 80000, not going up or down, and that kind of move is the most annoying.

Last night it pushed to 80167 but couldn’t hold, and now it has slipped back to 79789. Over 24h it’s only up 0.22%, and ETH at 2478 has moved less than 1% too. Honestly, in this kind of market I’d rather it dump straight down, at least then the direction would be clear. Right now it’s just stuck in the middle, BTC wasting time, and although SOL is up 1.2%, look at BNB surging 6.22% on its own — that money clearly didn’t go into the majors, it’s just rotating between sectors looking for an exit.

The chart gives me the feeling that everyone is waiting for news. This 80000 level is make-or-break; if it breaks, it might actually feel better.

Today I’m only watching two things:
1. Whether BTC can hold 79000 over the weekend; if it breaks down, I’ll short with a small position
2. Whether this BNB move can lift market sentiment; if it tops out and pulls back, other coins will likely follow and get dumped together

What do you think — will this weekend’s market make a move, or keep grinding? Drop a comment and tell me whether my read is right.
