Elon Musk solves the electricity shortage problem ⚡⚡⚡
SpaceX is preparing to open production of components for gas turbines.
SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk confirmed rumors that the company is going to manufacture blades for gas turbines. He considers their shortage the main limiting factor in the deployment of data center capacity and the spread of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies around the world.
The entrepreneur's ambitions have made heavyweights in this market, such as GE Vernova and Siemens Energy, nervous. After Elon Musk's post on X, shares of both companies on the New York Stock Exchange fell by almost 10% during the trading day.
💬 "Casting turbine blades will remain the most significant limiting factor for electricity generation until the large-scale deployment of solar AI satellites begins," said Elon Musk.
Until then, SpaceX will rely on onshore data centers to build its artificial intelligence business. Therefore, Musk is looking for ways to ensure their sustainable energy supply and has bet on gas-fired generation.
