Huaxing Securities, a unit of Huaxing Capital, appointed former deputy general manager Zhao Kai as chief executive officer and Chen Jiaxin as deputy general manager on September 2, according to Jiemian News. The move completes a major management reshuffle at the brokerage over the past 18 months.

Zhao, who joined Huaxing Securities in 2020 and previously worked at CITIC Securities and Zhongde Securities, has held roles including head of investment banking, head of sponsorship business and deputy general manager. Huaxing Capital chair Xu Yanqing said the appointments are intended to strengthen links between primary and secondary markets and deepen the firm’s securities strategy.

Huaxing Securities has been reorganizing its leadership while trying to improve performance. The brokerage posted revenue of 287 million yuan in 2025, up 18.2%, but still recorded a net loss of 46 million yuan. In the first half of 2026, total revenue and net investment income rose 40.3% year on year to about 181 million yuan, and operating profit turned positive at about 8.4 million yuan after four straight years of losses.

Retail brokerage was the main growth driver, with first-half revenue of about 78 million yuan, up 36%. As of the end of the reporting period, its Duoduojin app had about 640,000 registered users, up 12% from the end of 2025, while customer assets rose 23%.
