🔥 The probability of a rate hike has risen to 57%, yet BTC is still holding above $80K.
I think this signal matters more than whether BTC is up 1% or down 1% today.
Last week’s strong U.S. jobs data has led the market to start betting again that:
The Fed may hike rates again in September.
The normal logic should be:
Higher rate expectations
→ Higher U.S. Treasury yields
→ A stronger dollar
→ Pressure on risk assets
But right now, there’s an interesting divergence:
The dollar has not strengthened significantly.
And $BTC is still holding above $80K.
This suggests the market is not simply in Risk-On or Risk-Off mode.
Instead, it’s waiting for the next card:
INFLATION.
Oil prices are still elevated.
If energy prices continue to push inflation expectations higher, the Fed may be forced to maintain a more hawkish stance.
But if inflation data starts to ease—
then market expectations for liquidity could quickly reverse again.
At that point, the roles of BTC, ETH, and BNB are different too:
🟠 BTC: testing whether $80K is real support or just emotional support
🟣 ETH: watching whether institutional funds spread back out
🟡 BNB: watching whether high-beta capital is still willing to stay in the market
Especially $BNB.
A few days ago, BNB briefly broke above $770, clearly outperforming many major assets.
If macro pressure returns in the coming days and BNB still remains relatively strong—
that’s the signal truly worth paying attention to.
So this week I won’t just be watching the candlesticks.
I’m paying more attention to:
The dollar.
U.S. Treasury yields.
Oil prices.
Inflation data.
Because what BTC is really facing right now may not be $80K.
It may be:
Which direction the next wave of global liquidity is heading.

Today I heard a friend talking about an old trader, in his fifties, who had been trading for almost ten years.
He had a habit: after the market closed every day, he would go sit in the park for half an hour, feed the pigeons, and zone out. No phone, no chatting with anyone, just sitting there.
My friend asked him why, and he said: after staring at the market all day, my eyes are full of numbers and my mind is a mess. Sitting in the park looking at the trees and listening to the birds for half an hour clears everything out. By the next day’s open, my mind is clean, and I’m less likely to act on impulse.
I used to think that was a bit mystical, but now I understand it more and more.
In trading, where you deal with money every day, it’s easy to be led around by numbers. A rise makes you excited, a drop makes you anxious, a heavy position keeps you from sleeping, and being flat makes your hands itch. Over time, you get trapped in it; everything starts to look like candlesticks, and every thought becomes about the market.
You need an outlet, something that can pull you out of the market and remind you that you’re still a normal person. Maybe cooking, maybe running, maybe fishing, or maybe just sitting in the park for half an hour.
Trading is not the whole of life,
if trading is all that’s left in your life,
then you probably won’t do trading well either.
