Post-quantum security is starting to enter Bitcoin testnet: QuFi announces verification platform
QuFi has launched a post-quantum verification platform aimed at adding quantum-computing risk protection to digital asset transactions without modifying the existing blockchain settlement network.
The project also announced a proof of concept for uBTC, which is currently running on Bitcoin Testnet4. It separates transaction verification from final settlement and uses post-quantum cryptographic standards such as ML-DSA-65, SLH-DSA, and ML-KEM-1024.
It should be noted that this is still in the testnet and proof-of-concept stage. It does not mean it has become a standard for the Bitcoin mainnet, nor does it mean the related solution has been deployed at scale. What happens next will depend on security audits, code implementation, and actual test results.
