🇵🇱 Poland’s Parliament Fails to Overturn Crypto Bill Veto.

Poland’s parliament has failed to overturn President Karol Nawrocki’s veto of a cryptocurrency regulation bill, leaving the country’s crypto industry facing continued uncertainty.

The vote fell short of the three-fifths majority required to override the president. The legislation would have placed Poland’s crypto market under the supervision of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) and helped align the country’s rules with the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.

Nawrocki has argued that the proposed rules are too restrictive and could push crypto businesses out of Poland, while Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government says stronger oversight is needed to protect investors and combat illicit activity.

With the veto now standing, Poland’s regulatory framework for crypto remains unresolved, adding another layer of uncertainty for companies operating in the country.
