The Token economy is moving from concept into financial infrastructure
In August, Guangdong took the lead in launching the country’s first “Token Loan.” Bank of China, China CITIC Bank, and Bank of Guangzhou all went live at the same time. In an initial pilot, Bank of China approved a credit line of 28 million yuan.
Anhui has already clearly encouraged banks to launch “Token Loans” and “Model Loans.” Token Loans are also expected to roll out successively in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and other regions with active AI industries. Agricultural Bank of China has already implemented dedicated solutions in Shanghai and Zhejiang. Chengdu has launched a “Computing Power Loan,” with the first 1.14 million yuan already disbursed.
Tokens are shifting from a unit of measurement in the tech circle to a “credit yardstick” in the financial world. In other words, in the future it will not just be AI companies: any enterprise that generates Tokens may be able to use Tokens to secure financing.
