Apple is facing a large class action in the UK seeking up to £2 billion, or about 18.2 billion yuan, over its App Tracking Transparency feature, according to Jiemian News. The case was filed on September 3 with the Competition Appeal Tribunal in London and is being led by Ann Pope, a former senior official at the UK Competition and Markets Authority, on behalf of many British app developers. The plaintiffs allege that when Apple enforced the 2021 ATT rule, it imposed stricter limits on third-party developers than on its own services, hurting developers' advertising revenue while giving Apple's own ad ecosystem an unfair competitive advantage.
