Some coins make the list because there’s a real story behind them.

Some coins make the list simply because contract-driven sentiment has caught fire.

$龙虾, I lean more toward the latter.

Let me start from the beginning.

It managed to surge into the top of the rankings today not because it slowly built up volume and worked its way there, but more like it pulled all the attention onto itself in a very short time.

24-hour derivatives trading volume has already reached 71.5 million dollars, which isn’t a small amount for it.

What’s even more awkward is that open interest has piled up to 556 million tokens.

That means it’s not just a quick spike and fade; a lot of people are still in there hanging on.

Looking at the funding rate, it’s already at +0.0858%.

That number looks pretty crowded, which means there are plenty of people chasing longs and sentiment is clearly skewed to one side.

I was just at my vanity removing my eye makeup, with my phone propped next to me watching the chart, and DouDou was there messing with the charging cable. Looking at this structure, I just felt tired 😅

For a coin like this to make the list today, I’d sum it up in two words: lively.

But lively doesn’t mean comfortable.

I don’t see the same level of presence in spot trading, while the derivatives side has already fully amped up the mood. When spot can’t keep up and contracts get excited first, I usually don’t feel like chasing it.

My stance is very clear: I’m leaning toward watching for now. If I really had to take a trade, I’d only wait until it cools down a bit on its own.

If it really wants to keep running, that’s not impossible. It’s just that this level looks unnerving.

The market can turn on you faster than turning a page, so keep some position size in reserve. $龙虾 #龙虾
