Binance announced the signing of three memorandums with key government and financial institutions in Kazakhstan. The agreements cover three areas at once: digital assets, payments, and investment infrastructure.
The partners are:
🔸 Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan
🔸 National Bank of Kazakhstan
🔸 Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC)
What is provided for by the agreements?
💳 New payment infrastructure
Binance and the National Bank of Kazakhstan will develop a roadmap for the development of digital payments, licensing, and the launch of new payment products.
The parties will also explore the possibility of developing Kazakhstan as a regional payments and fintech hub, including the localization of certain Binance operations and infrastructure in the country, and the development of cross-border financial services.
🪙 Stablecoins and digital assets
Together with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, Binance will explore the possibility of issuing a stablecoin in Kazakhstan, as well as developing infrastructure for payments using digital assets.
Plans also include joint work on new products and services, digital and computing infrastructure, as well as approaches to taxation and judicial regulation.
💰 Digital assets for investors
The third memorandum with the AIFC is related to the development of the Investment Tax Residency Program and expanding the use of digital assets in Kazakhstan's investment infrastructure.
Essentially, this is no longer just about regulating the cryptocurrency market, but about creating a full-fledged infrastructure around digital finance.
Binance also sees Kazakhstan as an important growth point for digital finance in the region.
If the stated initiatives are implemented, the country will be able to strengthen its position as a regional center for digital assets, payment technologies, and international investment.
