Polygon Foundation CEO Sandeep Nailwal has launched a cryptocurrency donation campaign for Nepal's Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund, with all contributions designated for flood relief and verifiable on-chain. According to Foresight News, the initiative is supported by Polygon's Open Money Stack (OMS), Coinme, and Cross River Bank.
OMS can accept any supported token from any chain, while donations are collected in stablecoins and ultimately converted into local currency before being sent to the government relief fund account. The funds will be used to support rescue efforts, shelters, and supplies. Blockchain for Impact has pledged a $100,000 donation.
