Spot gold fell more than $70 to $4,405 per ounce after the U.S. nonfarm payrolls data was released, while spot silver dropped $1.5 to $65.7 per ounce. According to Odaily, the U.S. dollar index DXY rose 34 points to 99.36.
U.S. seasonally adjusted nonfarm payrolls increased by 162,000 in August, the highest since March and well above the market forecast of 56,000.
