Yesterday we were told that Astra became the first OpenAI model with critical cyber capabilities. Now the company has revealed what the new model can do as well.
Astra achieved 98.6% on ARC-AGI-3 versus 7.8% for GPT-5.6 Sol, and also outperformed previous models in math, programming, science, and working with a computer.
The main focus is computer use: Astra can independently work with a browser, a terminal, and apps, create websites, programs, and even games.
According to OpenAI president Greg Brockman, this is the company’s “first AGI model.” Access to Astra will begin being rolled out in the coming days.
