9.4 Gold Midday Strategy

Earlier in the morning, I mentioned that there is downward pressure at the upper levels, but the market did not move directly downward. During the day, price has been stuck and grinding in the high range, with both long and short sides pulling against each other. No one has been able to push out a clear direction.

Looking at the hourly chart, you can see that the Bollinger Bands have gradually narrowed, and price is oscillating just above the midline. After it surged to 4510, the upward momentum clearly weakened. This current rebound is entering a consolidation/rest phase. Although the short-term bulls have not completely lost, if high-level consolidation lasts too long, many positions that are already in profit could be at risk of a subsequent pullback and sell-off. At this point, do not impulsively chase higher prices.

Key Levels
Resistance: 4500, 4510
Support: 4470, 4435

Trading Plan

Entry: On the rebound into the 4475–4495 range, sell from resistance (short). Target 4460; after a breakout, look for 4430 and 4400.

(Personal advice only for reference—remember to set proper stop-loss and manage risk.)
