**A- Good analysis:**
You can follow any school or strategy as long as you test it in advance on historical data (backtesting) and it proves successful for you.
If you find a successful strategy and you want my advice, I recommend you stick with it, work on developing it, and don’t change it easily.
**B- Risk management:**
To control your trades and protect your capital from your impulsiveness, desire for revenge, greed, or fear, it is necessary to follow risk management that suits you.
**Question:** How can I know if risk management fits me?
**Answer:** Risk only the amount you can afford to lose, and risk in a way that does not affect your feelings and emotions. In short, risk only what you can accept losing; otherwise, what you’re doing isn’t trading—it’s gambling.
Of course, there are many risk management plans, and the best one is to risk between 1% and 2% of your capital, with a risk-to-reward (RR) ratio of at least 1:2 or 1:3.
**C- Your behavior as a trader:**
Stop harmful behaviors and destructive forms of trading you do, such as:
- Overtrading.
- Watching the screen for long periods.
- Opening positions excessively.
- Martingale strategy 🤌😂
- Grid trading.
- Trading on moments (scalping) without adhering to its rules; if you don’t commit to them, then don’t do it.
- Following recommendations blindly.
Excessive fear and greed, and other harmful behaviors.
