In the past 24 hours, ACE fell by 5%. This should be a comfortable time for shorts, but the three major exchanges’ funding rates all turned around and paid out—annualized to over 800%. Shorts are so crowded that they have to pay money out of pocket just to keep their positions.

The ones truly getting liquidated are actually the longs: of the $2.3 million liquidated in 24 hours, 71.6% were longs forced out—over the past hour, that share surged to 83.6%.

Holdings are cooling off too. Open interest across the whole market shrank by 12.9% in a single day to $35.60 million. Binance alone dropped by 21.4%, while MEXC actually added 11.7% against the trend—looks like they’re betting on a rebound.

Do you think this round of shorts can hold out until the rebound, or will they get squeezed out first?
