#孙小圣 Every person has a Great Sage dream in their heart. Since Black Myth: Wukong, there has been a surge of speculation in Sun Wukong coins on-chain. It started with the TRON (TRX) chain—because the Sun guy’s surname is Sun—then it all ended in utter chaos. Now “post–Journey to the West” is out again, and people are starting to speculate on Sun Xiaosheng. Why do so many keep rushing toward Sun Xiaosheng even though they know there are so many “guo ren chu sheng dev” [turning a blind eye / animalistic dev]—yet they still charge forward? I’d say it’s largely because when we were kids, we had dreams of the Great Sage, hoping that on-chain can help us carry it forward indefinitely. Back then, when Chinese people built the Bitcoin ecosystem, many people were also swept up with excitement, hoping that there would be a culture of our own here. The Chinese coin series is just text; what truly gives the meme its soul is culture—unique Chinese cultural symbols. It’s hoped that the cultural inheritance of over 5,000 years won’t be cut off in our generation. Memes are not only a cultural revival, but also a cultural experiment—slowly exploring a road that is uniquely Chinese.
