CLARITY Bill 2026: Legislative Odds Drop to 15%
The biggest compliance drama in the crypto world
This year is probably going to be over 😂
Damn, earlier everyone was shouting that the U.S. is finally going to set rules for the crypto market.
But now the prediction market just threw a bucket of ice water on you.
So you end up cold to the bone.
What are the odds that the CLARITY Bill becomes law in 2026?
They’ve already fallen to around 15%.
So what the hell is this ridiculous bill?
In simple terms, it’s the market-structure bill the U.S. crypto community has been waiting for for a long time.
Its core is to clearly sort out the responsibilities between the SEC and the CFTC:
Which coins fall under the SEC,
Which digital assets fall under the CFTC,
and provide exchanges and DeFi with a set of federal-level game rules.
The House already passed it early.
But it got stuck in the Senate.
Why did the odds plummet?
Because the Senate needs 60 votes to pass it.
The Republicans don’t have enough votes.
They need Democrats to cross over.
Both sides are stuck on a few deadlocks:
Can public officials participate in crypto?
Stablecoin incentive provisions.
Banking-interest conflicts.
These can’t be reconciled.
Congress has very little working time left.
The window for voting is especially narrow.
Isn’t this basically messing around?
Not long ago, everyone thought it was done.
And now you’re telling me to slam the brakes.
It’s like you go to the civil affairs office to get a marriage certificate.
You already bought the ring.
You already booked the banquet.
You even posted it all on your朋友圈...
Then the staff member says:
“Wait, don’t rush—you two need to discuss it internally first 😂”
Actually, the market has already priced in the expectation that U.S. regulation will finally become clear.
If they keep delaying all the way,
or if it all gets shut down this year,
then projects that relied on regulatory approval to tell their story will probably have to start over.
The 15% is the probability that the prediction market is betting on.
It doesn’t necessarily mean it can’t pass.
It’s not completely dead.
It’s just that the hope of it becoming reality in 2026 is slim.
The bill could still be amended.
Next year, the new Congress will bring it back and keep arguing about it 😂😂😂
