Hmm, To be honest: I'm thinking about one thing....🤔
Is the US really serious about bringing crypto into its market this time?
At least that's what it seems like when you look at SEC Chairman Paul Atkins' "Regulation Crypto Assets" proposal. Especially the proposed exemptions for startups and fundraising are noticeable. Startup exemptions of up to $5M and fundraising exemptions of up to $75M per year are being discussed.
This doesn't seem like a small change.
An attempt to bring back crypto builders and companies that have moved out of the US due to the strict regulatory environment over the past few years is clearly visible here. And if we take into account the progress of the CLARITY Act........ then the whole picture looks a little different.
On the one hand, an attempt to bring regulatory clarity, on the other hand, a proposal to slightly simplify the rules for raising capital🤔
The most interesting thing for me is - this is not just a short-term headline for the crypto market. If the US really wants to make room for crypto innovation again, its impact could be far-reaching. Of course, proposal and actual implementation are not the same thing. This is where a little patience is needed. Because the market often prices good news in advance, then when everyone becomes bullish, it takes liquidity.
Still........ one thing is hard to deny.
If the US really opens the door to bringing the crypto industry back to their country, then this story will not be just a regulatory update: maybe the foundation for the next big crypto cycle is slowly being laid👍
