After watching quite a number of the agenda items at this year’s Token2049, my strong impression is this: the industry is shifting from “narrative-driven” to “utility-driven.”
In the past, people would ask, “How much can this go up?” Now more people ask, “What problem does this solve?” There’s enough infrastructure already; what’s missing is the application layer that enables people outside the circle to use it without even feeling like they’re using Web3.
Sometimes I think the best “marketing” for Web3 might be to make it so users don’t even realize they’re using Web3. Like water reaching its natural level, it may last longer than flashy, high-profile promotion.📖
