When Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell was asked during a private meeting with U.S. lawmakers "how many more rate hikes the Fed will have this year," he noted that policymakers' latest projections show they expect one more hike, according to Rep. Kevin Hern (D-Calif.).
Powell was reiterating the new rate forecasts, known as the Fed's dot plot, that policymakers released last week after a two-day FOMC meeting. "One thing they've acknowledged recently is that they expect one more rate hike this year."
