Robinhood, Coinbase among top Shiba Inu “burn” leaders in August
According to Shibburn data, the Shiba Inu community burned 588.2 million $SHIB tokens in August.
Despite removing hundreds of millions of tokens from circulation, the monthly “burn” rate fell by 6.14%.
WoofSwap V3 led the list of designated “burners” by destroying 194 million SHIB across 17 transactions. Robinhood, Coinbase, and CEX(.)IO were also among the largest contributors during the month.
Robinhood transferred 39.04 million $SHIB tokens to the burn address through 101 transactions. Coinbase burned 17.28 million SHIB via 11 recorded transactions. CEX(.)IO additionally contributed 61.41 million SHIB through five transactions.
Burns in August were sharply lower than in July; in July, the community destroyed 3.24 billion SHIB.
