Over these past two weeks, I’ve had a strong feeling: the market is starting to buy “storytelling tech stocks” less and less. Instead, investors are more willing to be patient with companies that can lock in their position in the infrastructure segment.
During the day at work, I fiddled with the interface until my eyes ached. At night, even the wonton noodles I ordered at home were nearly past their prime. Meanwhile, I kept browsing the U.S. stock perpetual futures rankings, and when I saw $NBIS sitting near the front of the gainers list, I went to take a closer look.
I’m leaning bullish on it—not because today’s candle is particularly dramatic.
It’s also because names like Nebius Group sound, at a glance, like a company that’s firmly positioned along the big chain of AI, cloud, compute, and data infrastructure.
From what I understand, it’s not one of those directions that survives just on a slogan.
Now the market has a very realistic preference: as long as you’re on the track where “others need to keep burning compute, stacking training, and expanding infrastructure capabilities,” you’re more likely to receive sustained attention.
The advantage of this kind of asset is that when the theme is hot, it has room to move; when the theme cools off a bit, it still won’t be completely left without buyers.
The market action is interesting too.
Its perpetual current price is $204.53, and the 24-hour high is almost $204.57—suggesting that capital tested higher all the way up today, not a weak “pump then immediately turn around” kind of recovery.
Also, the funding rate is still +0.0000%. I interpret that as: sentiment isn’t overheated or crowded—at least it doesn’t look like one of those positions where everyone is bullish and everybody’s panicking to get in.
That’s another reason I’m willing to look at it a bit more.
With many stocks, the most exhausting part is when the logic hasn’t fully played out, but trading has already crowded itself into overload.
Right now, $NBIS feels like: the sector narrative has imagination, market attention has risen, but sentiment hasn’t become seriously distorted.
Of course, I’m not going all-in with my eyes closed.
The problem with this kind of stock is that people tend to price in expectations under the banner of “AI infrastructure.” But once later on the market realizes the pace of兑现 (execution) isn’t as fast as expected, or if the entire tech growth direction cools down, volatility can get very big.
The fact that it can make it to the front of the Binance U.S. stock perpetual futures ranking today already indicates that attention is rising.
Attention is a good thing, but it can also amplify back-and-forth oscillations. This is the kind of setup where I’d only try with positions that don’t make me feel uneasy.
If you ask me what my stance is right now, I’m fairly bullish—but more like “I’m willing to wait for a pullback and also willing to watch in batches,” not chasing the mood run by run.
The market is changing; what’s right for today may not be right for tomorrow. $NBIS #USstocksPerpetual
