🟠 AI model Kimi K3 excels at finding Bitcoin security vulnerabilities $BTC
The Bitcoin Red Team volunteer group has just carried out a large-scale automated security audit using the open-source AI model Kimi K3 from Moonshot AI (China). In roughly 108 hours, Kimi K3 listed 7,958 potential security findings across 501 open-source projects related to Bitcoin, including 1,280 issues rated as high severity or especially critical.
Notably, Kimi K3 outperformed other open-source models such as Zhipu’s GLM-5.2 in standard benchmark tests. The most important discovery was a flaw that bypasses two-factor authentication (2FA) in BTCPay Server version 2.4.2—an issue that was actually exploited to steal Lightning wallet login credentials before it was patched.
