U.S. stocks extended gains in intraday trading on September 2, with the Dow up 0.71%, the S&P 500 up 0.51%, and the Nasdaq turning higher to rise 0.31%. According to Sina Finance, Nvidia jumped more than 3%, Meta rose nearly 3%, Amazon and Alphabet turned higher, and Tesla narrowed its decline to less than 1%.
Among leading Chinese ADRs, Meituan rose more than 4%, Xiaomi climbed more than 2%, while JD.com, NetEase, and PDD advanced. Tencent, Baidu, and Alibaba also narrowed their losses.
Spot gold rose 1% to $4,371.62 per ounce, and spot silver climbed more than 1% to $64.944 per ounce. According to Sina Finance, ADP said U.S. private employers added 38,000 jobs in August, below the market consensus forecast of 47,000.
