21 Global Banks Pledge to Form a Joint Stablecoin Company

According to CoinDesk, 21 major global banks, including Bank of America, Citi, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and UBS, have pledged to establish a joint stablecoin company.

The company plans to launch a dollar-denominated stablecoin, aiming to go live in the first half of 2027. The full list of participating institutions and the stablecoin operating network have not yet been disclosed.

This is already the second major alliance in the stablecoin space this year—the previous one was OUSD.
