BTC has only dropped less than 2%, yet meme coins and chain-game tokens basically just collapsed on your face.
The most aggressive one is ACE—up 34% and with a 19.4M trading volume. How could that kind of volume be stacked up by retail traders? I looked around and didn’t see any real, legitimate positive catalysts. Instead, there’s been talk for the past few days about a “game guild integration” — and it’s very likely the market makers are using that as an excuse. This kind of sudden volume surge and pump that then doesn’t get followed through is very likely a pump-and-dump. I hesitated around 0.18 and didn’t enter—now it looks like I made the right call. Chasing in would mean getting trapped and bagholding in minutes.
The crash is even more wild. NFP was -66%—this isn’t a correction anymore; it’s ankle-cutting. Even $BTC didn’t crash like that. Small-cap liquidity is already poor to begin with, and once a big player dumps, there’s no real support to catch the sell pressure. VANRY, PYR, and others also all got wiped out together—clearly it’s coordinated, not just an issue with a single project.
In plain terms: altcoins right now are basically licking blood off a knife edge. Don’t be jealous of something like ACE that pumped hard—when you see it pumping, that’s usually when the trap is starting. Before $BTC stabilizes, don’t touch small caps. Being in cash is also a valid strategy.
Do you think this wave of altcoin crashes is a signal of a shift from bull to bear, or just normal shakeouts during a bull market?
