GitLab announced stronger-than-expected momentum in the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, with revenue up 21% year over year, driven by accelerating demand for its software development and information security platform, supported by the growing adoption of artificial intelligence.

Quarterly revenue for the period ended 31/07/2025 reached approximately $286.30 million, compared with $236.00 million in the same period last year. Diluted adjusted earnings per share were $0.24, unchanged from the previous year, while adjusted operating income rose to $42.60 million from $39.60 million.

These results reflect GitLab’s efforts to capitalize on the growing use of artificial intelligence in software development, at a time when companies are seeking tools that provide security, governance, and context across development workflows that are increasingly automated. The company noted that the growth of its first orders exceeded 100% year over year, while growth in net annual recurring revenue surpassed 40%.
