The memecoin launchpad platform #PumpFun y and the decentralized exchange #Hyperliquid habould have accounted for nearly 90% of the record US$638 million in token buybacks conducted by cryptocurrency projects to date in 2026.
Hyperliquid allocates up to 99% of the protocol’s eligible fees to its assistance fund to acquire its HYPE token in the open market and burn it permanently, while PumpFun assigns 50% of its revenue generated from trading commissions and its PumpSwap platform to the purchase and burn of its native PUMP token.
