$MSTRB Is it really still worth buying MSTR right now?
My answer: Worth keeping an eye on, but don’t go all-in.
Many people simply think of MSTR as a “leveraged version of BTC,” but it’s not that simple.
Strategy recently bought back 4,603 BTC again. Its holdings are now about 845,000 BTC, and it remains one of the world’s largest enterprise-level BTC holders.
What truly made me pay attention to MSTR again is its current valuation.
In the past, MSTR’s biggest problem was:
When BTC went up → MSTR went up → the market crazily priced in a premium → and in the end, people were buying “belief.”
But after a big pullback this year, that premium has been clearly compressed—at times, MSTR’s enterprise value even fell below the value of its BTC holdings.
That’s actually why MSTR is more worth researching now than a few years ago.
Of course, the risks are also very clear:
1️⃣ If BTC drops, MSTR may drop even harder
2️⃣ Ongoing equity financing to buy BTC can lead to shareholder dilution
3️⃣ MSTR also has capital structure items like debt and preferred stock
4️⃣ If BTC goes sideways for a long time, the “BTC amplifier” effect of MSTR could turn into a “loss amplifier”
So I won’t treat MSTR as a low-risk asset.
My thinking is actually pretty simple:
If you’re bullish on BTC → use BTC to build the core position
If you believe BTC will enter a new bull market → MSTR can add leverage and upside
If in the future BTC again challenges $100K, $150K, or even $200K, MSTR’s upside could be significantly greater than BTC’s.
But if BTC breaks back below $60K...
MSTR is definitely not an asset that will let you sleep soundly 😂
So if I have to choose right now:
BTC: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
MSTR: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Going all-in on MSTR at once: ❌
DCA into pullbacks: ✅
The logic for truly buying MSTR has never been about “Michael Saylor being great.”
It’s about:
BTC rising + BTC holdings increasing + a reasonable mNAV valuation
Only when all three conditions are met does MSTR become truly interesting.
So personally, I’m more inclined to:
Don’t chase; wait for pullbacks and buy in batches.
After staying in the crypto space for long enough, you’ll realize—
The best opportunities are often not when everyone is shouting “buy” at the same time.
