After a strong weekly breakout, there is often a period of one to two months of chaotic, sideways consolidation, during which most alternative coins and market hot spots finally have their chance. In this phase, a large amount of investor positions are shaken out. This current market cycle is at the consolidation-and-distribution stage; a complete bull market follows the rhythm of rise–consolidation–surge. Core holdings should not be adjusted or traded lightly, avoid greedily and frequently trying to trade short-term swings, and instead be patient and wait for the next leg of uptrend.
